In Alongside, Bluey and Honey go about their separate days, until luck brings them together momentarily.

Did you spot some of many the Easter Eggs and references featured throughout the side-by-side scenes? Read through our breakdown of everything you might have missed in ‘Alongside’ below!

As the minisode opens, we catch a glimpse of both girls’ bedrooms as they wake up. While Honey is tucked neatly into her bed, Bluey has a more creative dynamic with her bed – and around her are multiple references to some of her favourite moments.

On the left hand side of her bed we can see Bandit’s pink feather boa from a game of Magic Xylophone from the episode of the same name (the very first one!). On the alternate end of the headboard, Bluey’s green hat from Sticky Gecko is also featured.

On the floor and even along the top of her bed are puzzle pieces from the jigsaw Bluey promised to clean up in Promises.

Sticking out from underneath is Unicorse’s least favourite book about a Queen who invents shoes, that Chilli reads to Bluey in Unicorse.

.

.

As the shot pans out, we can see a whole host of Sticky Gecko’s are stuck to her bedroom walls, and the crown from Queens is front and centre next to her and Bingo’s watermelon rug.

.

.

As the girls go about their morning, we catch glimpses of multiple teapots around Honey’s house. Honey and her family’s love of a good cuppa is not a surprise; given their appearance in Tea Party.

They both share their very interesting opinions on tea brewing and biscuits during a play date at Bluey’s house.

.

.

As Honey and Bluey make their way into the front and back gardens, we see Bluey peering over and watching some swimming fish in the pond. Eventually we see her mum, first mentioned in Stumpfest, where we saw Sparky and Chippy build over three (ish) days in Tradies.

.

.

Their days continue as Honey heads to the soccer practice and Bluey starts to build a wonderfully colourful tower of blocks, albiet a little smaller than her and Bingo’s efforts at Nana’s house in Blocks.

.

.

At lunchtime, Honey takes a bite of a salad sandwich while Bandit enjoys a hearty meal of children, replaying the game we saw him play with Bluey in Hungry

.

.

While Honey continues her afternoon full of extracurricular activities, Bluey and Bingo are playing a game of Hide and Seek

.

.

In the next scene, we see the return of Bluey’s resident music man: The Busker! Last seen as the DJ at Uncle Rad and Aunt Frisky’s wedding in the 28 minute special The Sign.

The Busker is never far from a great tune – seen here giving Honey and music lesson on the piano.

.

.

When Bluey and Honey’s days reach a literal intersection, we see that Honey’s family car has a number plate that reads 007-SAM. There are a number of easter eggs hidden within the number plates of Bluey’s friends including Winton’s Dad (LVLYJ6LY) and Coco’s Mum (2MNYKID5).

.

.

In Honey’s violin practice, she’s rehearsing ‘London Bridge is Falling Down’ – one of many references to her and her family’s English heritage. Meanwhile Bingo is playing a game of hockey, just her Mum plays in Horsey Ride.
