This event is completely free to attend. No payment is required to reserve your ticket, but you must reserve a ticket to secure your spot. You will not be able to enter the activation without a ticket.

You must arrive at the start of your time slot. If you arrive outside of this time slot, we can’t guarantee your entry to the activation. Please note – this activation will be popular so it may involve a short wait before you can enter the space (+20 mins), but hosts will be on hand to help make the queue a fun experience!

Please bring your confirmation email (digital or printed). Please note – all members of your party should arrive together. Please note that children will require water shoes to access the water feature and take part in the Barky Boat activity. We recommend wellington boots to prevent feet and clothes from getting wet or a change of clothes.
 

The experience is designed for children and their families. While there’s no strict age limit, it’s best suited for children aged 2-10, and all children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult throughout the activation.

Tickets are limited and may get booked up quickly. While we don’t currently have plans to release additional tickets, we recommend keeping an eye on our website and social channels for any updates or last-minute availability.

We understand that some visitors may want to drop by spontaneously, especially with children. A limited number of walk-in tickets may be available on the day. However, we cannot guarantee availability, and waiting times may apply. If there are cancellations, any newly available slots will appear on the booking page and may also be available on the day, subject to availability. Please check this page for up-to-date availability. You will not be able to enter the activation without a ticket.

This experience is designed for families to enjoy together, so single adult bookings aren’t available. All children will need to be accompanied by an adult to be permitted entry. For safety and supervision, children must be always accompanied by an adult during the activation.

Yes, a confirmation email with your ticket details will be sent to you. Please bring it with you on the day of your booking.

Bookings are non-transferable and cannot be changed once confirmed. Please double check your selected slot before completing your reservation.

If you can no longer attend the activation, please press ‘Manage Tickets’ on your confirmation email in order to cancel the tickets on the system.

Play The Bluey Way is a free, ticketed event at Millennium Square, outside We The Curious in Bristol, running on 19th September from 12:30pm to 6:30pm. Families can step into Play The Bluey Way to see a brand-new Bluey mural, make their own Barky Boats and set them to sail on the water. Kids can say hello to Bluey, and take their own playful photo, subject to availability. At the end of the activation, visitors can take a snap in front of the Bluey mural. Families will be greeted by hosts who will show them how to make their Barky Boats and set them afloat, inspired by a famous Bluey episode.

The full experience lasts approximately between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on group size and pace – just enough time to enjoy all the fun … hooray! Please note, this activation may involve a short wait before you can enter the space (+20 mins).

We’re sorry you missed out on getting tickets to Play The Bluey Way. But don’t worry – the mural will stay in Millenium Square until Saturday 31^st October 2026, so families will still have the opportunity to snap a photo of the artwork if they’d like. Plus, BBC Studios is partnering with We The Curious where further activities inside the science centre will remain available for families to enjoy until the end of October half-term. More information to follow.

While there will be appearances from the costume character at select times, we can’t guarantee that every guest will meet Bluey. Her visits are scheduled throughout the day and may vary depending on timing and demand.

There are currently no plans for additional venue locations in the UK for Play The Bluey Way.

Yes! Photography is encouraged, feel free to capture the Play The Bluey Way fun. Just be mindful of other children and families and avoid flash photography where possible.

There may be filming crew present at the event and we are planning to take photos and videos of our guests, including your kiddos. By coming along to the event, you are giving us your permission to photograph and film you and your family and to use the photos and videos in promotional materials and media, including on social media and our websites. If you do not want your kiddo to be photographed or filmed, please let one of the hosts know. Please do not take photographs of other people’s children unless you have the consent from their parent / carer.

Please avoid bringing food or drinks into the activation space. This helps keep the space clean and safe for everyone. Thanks for understanding!

Yes, the Play The Bluey Way event space is wheelchair accessible.

There will be a designated space to leave buggies before entering the activation, please note that all personal belongings and buggies are left at your own risk.

Millennium Square public toilets are step-free and have baby changing facilities.
