Blupblululu! Learn how to play Octopus like Bluey and Chloe!
What you’ll need
- 2 or more players.
- Treasure! (A hairbrush, teddy, sandwich… whatever you like!)
- This game can be played indoors or outdoors. (If indoors, the octopus could hang over the back of a sofa.)
How to play
- Choose one person to be the octopus. They can only talk in “blubbly-blubs”. The other players are little fish.
- Put the octopus’ treasure on one side of the octopus, and the little fish stand on the other side.
- The octopus waaaits… quietly… still… as the fish try to swim past it, unnoticed.
- Can they sneak by and steal the treasure without getting caught in the octopus’ tentacles?
- Keep playing ‘til all the fish are caught, then swap roles. Blubbly-blubb-blubb!
TOP TIP: Octopi (that’s what you call a group of octopus) are easily distracted in this game. Shout “there’s a robin!” to get the octopus to look away so the little fish can swim by quickly.
