Maynard is a chilled out Irish Wolfhound who’s good mates with Grandad (Chilli’s Dad). He lives in a little wooden lake house where he spends his time fishing for barramundi from his front porch and taking Grandad’s canoe out for spins.

He works at the ‘Bait and Tackle’ fishing shop, and likes whittling dog figurines out of wood in between visits from customers, and drivers who’ve lost their way. A country boy, Maynard likes the quiet life, doesn’t own a phone — and is a little bit suspicious of city fellas and their offroad driving skills…
