The first in a series of global murals celebrating ‘play the Bluey way’ has been unveiled at Wittonga Park in Brisbane.

BBC Studios has announced the launch of Play The Bluey Way – a global campaign inspired by all the ways Bluey and her family play!

At the heart of the campaign is a series of murals inspired by iconic Bluey moments of play. Beginning this weekend at Wittonga Park in Brisbane, the setting of beloved episode, ‘Cricket’, the first mural has been unveiled.

Titled “That’s What Cricket’s About, Kid!”, the mural on the park’s rebound wall and basketball courts celebrates play, friendship and community through scenes inspired by iconic moments from Bluey.

The mural celebrates the joy, imagination and community spirit that families connect with through Bluey. Drawing inspiration from the much-loved ‘Cricket’ episode and the real-life setting that helped bring the story to life, the mural is designed to encourage families to get outdoors, play together and create their own memorable moments.

The artwork was developed by Kate Derrick and Jemma Bayley at Ludo Studio and brought to life by Brisbane-based mural artist Jordan Bruceat Brightsiders. Court painting by Communities In Colour.
