Bringing the chaos, the comedy and the cumbersome confidence that only a toddler can pull off, Muffin reminds us that being a littlie is full of big emotions, big learnings and big love. As we celebrate the flamingo queen herself (because she is special), let’s take a look at some of the most quintessential Muffin moments.
Turn that frown, or rather cone, upside down! When Muffin is made to wear the ‘cone of shame’ to curb her thumb sucking habit, the three cousins learn that sometimes what might seem like your biggest obstacle can turn into your greatest source of fun, creativity and play. The cone of shame quickly becomes a traffic cone, a bridal dress, a sunflower, and most importantly, a reminder for Trixie that changing habits is hard enough for adults, let alone for littlies.
When you know what you want, you can’t leave it up to chance! Game rules might be what makes the game fun (as Bluey and Coco learnt in Shadowlands) but in this game of Charades, the rules were only slowing Muffin down from achieving her goal – to become the highlight of the show as a ballerina. Luckily Nana is on hand to set the stage, cue the music and let this star really shine. While the others might have initially rolled their eyes at Muffin’s antics, she teaches us that with a little determination (and a lot of stomping) you can make your dreams a reality.
The pinnacle episode for all your favourite Muffin-isms. Fuelled by a skipped nap and a disregard for paying for chippies, you’d better watch out because the flamingo queen is on the loose! After discovering the shocking news that coconuts have water in them, and messing up the restaurant table settings before finding herself trying to escape on the flamingo lawn ornament, it soon becomes very clear that Bububabu needs to go to bed. So, the next time a kiddo in your life starts telling you that they’re a llama eating a banana, that might be your cue to wind down the game. Just make sure to write down any classic one-liners they come up with – they’re bound to be the source of laughter for years to come!
Hold onto your seats because Muffin is here to take you on the ride of a lifetime in her brand-new car. Just make sure you don’t bring mud into the new car (it’s very expensive) and always make sure to check if it’s scwatched after pulling up at speed to your destination. But what is a kiddo with a need for speed supposed to do when the car needs charging? Cue Muffin’s often overlooked ability to adapt to the game (when it suits her) as she swaps the fast life in her fancy car for the familiar joys of playing with her family, literally ensuring the wheels don’t fall off the game (and Bluey’s car ‘Pedaly’) as the pizza shop mechanic.
Muffin proves that it takes one to know one to win in the battle of the grouchy grannies at the neighbour’s garage sale! What she lacks in knowledge about haggling, she certainly makes up for in tenacity when she goes head-to-head (or should we say mobile to mobile) with the grumpiest granny this side of Brisbane over a second-hand mobility scooter. A true method actor, Muffin refuses to break character, only digging deeper into her role as the price wars over the granny mobile escalates and she secures an unbelievable price (and 18 lollies). Showcasing her acting range, Muffin then switches into the Super Granny who has saved the day more than she realises.
