Brand New Bluey Cricket Coins

Rusty hits it for six on new Bluey cricket coin
There’s nothing quite like a game of cricket to bring people together – and now one of Australia’s favourite animated families is taking the game from the backyard to a coin collection.
The Royal Australian Mint is celebrating the fun, friendship and joy of cricket with a new collectible coin inspired by Bluey, featuring much-loved character Rusty.
Inspired by Australia’s favourite episode Cricket, and designed in collaboration with the team at Ludo Studio, the coin captures the spirit of a game that has become part of the fabric of Australian life. From backyard matches and school ovals to summer afternoons with family and friends, cricket is about much more than the score. It’s about having a go, learning along the way and making memories together.
Royal Australian Mint Chief Executive Officer Emily Martin said the latest collectible was a playful celebration of two things Australians love – Bluey and cricket.
“Cricket is a little bit like life – sometimes you hit a six, sometimes you miss the ball completely, and sometimes your little sister insists she’s not out.
“This colourful coin brings together the fun of cricket with the heart and humour of Bluey, celebrating the friendships, teamwork and memories that make playing together so special,” Ms Martin said.
With Rusty at the heart of the design, the collectible coin brings to life the warmth and optimism of the Bluey universe while celebrating the simple joy of getting outside and having a game.
Available as both an uncirculated coin in card and silver proof coin in a special cricket ball tin, these Bluey coins will make a great addition to any coin collection.
