Get the whole family together for some high-energy game time with this Bluey-themed spin on a nostalgic classic. Players take it in turns to slot a crocodile stick into the barrel, but nobody knows when Bluey’s going to pop up and go flying. This game is luck-based rather than skill-based, so there’s an even playing field across all ages – that’s why we think it’s so great for 5-years-olds, who’re often still learning how to be graceful in defeat!
New way to play: Although this game is designed for 2 or more players, it can easily be adapted for solo play too. Get your child to guess how many crocs they can safely stick in the barrel before Bluey pops up, and award points for how close they get to correct answer.

Crocs clogs are comfy, durable, lightweight and water-friendly, making them the perfect shoes for all kinds of play. These Bluey-themed ones will win over even the fussiest footwear fan. Lined with blue and printed with a garden scene, they also come with three oversized Jibbitz charms – Bluey, Bingo and a red balloon (Mum and Dad are fixed to the clog). More charms are available separately featuring other characters like Chloe and Snickers, for extra customisation options.
A lot of kids get really into LEGO around age 5, and for Bluey fans the two come together in the ultimate way in this brilliant set. It recreates the Heeler house in LEGO bricks, with a cutaway design that facilitates all kinds of open-ended play once the set is built. There are minifigures of the Heeler family, plus Chattermax and Jeremy, to add even more fun, and plenty of familiar moments from the show recreated in brick form.
Age range: 3+
Great for: Motor skills, construction, pretend play, imaginative play
Everyone’s favourite cheeky cousin is even cuter in Squishmallow form. All of Muffin’s features are captured perfectly, from the spots on her arms to her dark-tipped tail, all in a generous 12-inch size that’s just right for 5-year-olds. She’s perfect for cuddling up to while watching a marathon of Muffin’s best episodes.
New way to play: Do we even need to say it? This plush is crying out for its own Muffin Cone, so kids can recreate moments from the famous episode with their new toy. Make one from card, or if you have a pet of your own perhaps you have one somewhere already?
At age 5, kids often start to get really excited about surprise toys and collections, and this toy combines the two. The vending machine contains 12 capsules, and each one houses a surprise Bluey character, including rare options like metallics and glitters. Once the collection is complete the capsules are reusable, so this can be repurposed for countdowns, parties and anything else your imagination can think up.
New way to play: Turn the vending machine into a reward tool, allowing your kids to “win” a new toy only after completing a certain task or showing good behavior. Do this over time, and it’ll help teach kids about responsibility and delayed gratification.
There’s no better way to start off a Bluey figure collection than this bumper pack, which contains 14 figures that open the doors to all kinds of imaginative play. As well as Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli, the set also includes Grandad, Nana, Socks and Muffin, plus neighbors Doreen, Wendy, Judo, Lucky and Pat (Lucky’s dad). You also get figures of four famous toys: Floppy, Chattermax, Unicorse, and Turtleboy. To round off the collection, Turtleboy has an extra special friend: Dougie!
New way to play: Since the set contains the Heeler’s neighbors, you could put them all into a DIY 3D map. Use a large sheet of paper or card to draw out Bluey’s neighborhood, then use toys, building bricks or old boxes to make houses for each. Challenge the kids to create extra details to add authenticity, like Doreen’s trash cans or the Heeler’s red car.
