Learn more about the way your favourite Bluey episodes are created with an introduction to Bluey storyboard with Ludo artist Anthony Pham
In every Bluey episode; it all starts with the story. While scripts are being developed, storyboard artists begin translating the script into rough visuals. These boards map out the sequence, pacing, and staging of each scene.
The storyboard is then edited together into an animatic — a rough visual draft that functions like a digital flipbook. It includes temporary sound effects, music, and VO from the cast. This animatic serves as the blueprint for the entire episode, guiding animation, design, and editorial decisions throughout production.
